Wormery bedding is offered to customers who already have a wormery and worms, this maybe after an established wormery has had the compost emptied, to start again the worms must be added back into a suitable bedding not just food waste. There are ways of creating "bedding" such as the use of paper/cardboard or the not very environmentaly friendly, coir (transported thousands of miles by sea) these materials do have the problem of being alien to the worms causing them to migrate away making it difficult to re-establish the worm population. These fresh materials contain none of the bugs, bacteria, fungii and micro life essential to enable worms to feed.
The bedding supplied by us is the refined, recycled material that worms have been born and bred in, it is teeming with micro life, baby worms and eggs and immeadiately innoculates any fresh food waste, allowing the worms to settle very quickly.
All prices shown include bedding and delivery by carrier or Standard Parcel. Deliveries by carrier on the mainland is usually next day, all carriers usually need a signature on delivery, if you should be out, it would be helpful if you could make arrangements with a neighbour.
Deliveries by Standard Parcel can take 3 - 4 days, this is used for more remote postcodes, islands and Northern Ireland.
