Delivery

Our standard method of delivery is by Royal Mail and selected carriers.

Royal Mail 1st class post
Generally, orders received before 3pm and weighing .5kg or under will be dispatched the same day by 1st class post, Royal Mail DO NOT guarantee next day delivery so please allow additional delivery time

Royal Mail Special Delivery ?
(Guaranteed next day delivery, requested and paid for by the customer)
Generally, orders received before 3pm will be dispatched the same day and guaranteed delivery next day. If the order fails to arrive the next day, any refund is limited to the cost of postage NOT the value of the order. All orders delivered by Special Delivery will require a signature on arrival. The postperson will NOT normally accept notes ?to leave?

Royal Mail Standard Parcels
We use Standard Parcels to send heavier items where we cannot send by a carrier, such as Northern Ireland, offshore islands or some postcodes, particularly in the Scottish Highlands. This can be a 3+ day delivery service, we will not usually dispatch goods by Standard Parcel on days other than Monday and Tuesday.

Royal Mail do not consider any goods ?lost? until 15 days have elapsed, with live creatures we have to look at a much shorter period but we still allow 3 working days after the day of dispatch before we may consider anything ?lost?

 

Carriers other than Royal Mail
We use several carriers for the delivery of heavier items, these are on a next day after dispatch service but this IS NOT guaranteed. Usually the carrier requires a signature on delivery, if you should be out, we would strongly recommend making arrangements with a neighbour. If the order is not received on the expected day, please let us know straight away and certainly by the following day. Please do not sign ?received in good condition? if the goods have not been inspected. Orders received after Midday may have to wait until the following day for dispatch.

No orders are dispatched on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays or any times when delay could cause loss of live creatures such as industrial action.

We will always try to dispatch as soon as possible or when a customer has a specific request but reserve the right to change this, particularly during very busy periods, Information on dispatch date will be found on our ?Stop press? page updated daily.
